Description : This three piece ensemble was designed by the avant-garde French fashion designer Andre Coureges. He is mainly known for his 1960s fashion but his career spanned to the mid to late 80s. The suit itself is made out of bergère wool to give it a little more structure. The blouse is also wool with a little polyester in it. The skirt closes with the buttons that are pictured in the back of the skirt, 6 in total. Has a large triangle front and on the sides of the triangle are the oversized pockets. Has the seam up the front which is double sewn, characteristic of coureges, the jacket has the oversized 80s look, has two pockets which are usable, zips up the front, has two buttons below the waist and one at the futuristic mandarin collar. The sleeves are domain in style and the back has the triangle as well with three large pleats right above the waist. In contrast is the blouse which is dark grey and red checked pattern it almost looked quilted, a double set of buttons go down the front but the ones on the left are the ones how you close. There are striped of metallic red throughout the blouse. In excellent condition. Measures: shoulders 16in, sleeves 21in, bust 38in, armhole 8in, waist 29in, hips 40in, length of jacket 25.5in, length of shirt 21.5in, length of skirt 28.5in. In excellent condition.
